The guy at Home Depot tried to sell me the 7 1/4 inch corded saw, citing that it was far more saw for the money over the 6 1/2 inch cordless kit. He also told me that cordless saws eat battery power so a corded saw is better. I have a bunch of 18v batteries from other tools, so buying the bare tool was far cheaper than the corded saw. Additionally, I am not a contractor who needs cutting power all day. I need to cut stuff on a far smaller scale so the batteries are not an issue. So far, this saw has cut everything I’ve thrown at it with ease. This product is an excellent addition to my Dewalt 18v tool box.
