Powerful, Reliable Engine with Electric Start
The PR1030ES is powered by a reliable 291-cc OHV engine with standard speed drive that is designed for use in colder climates. There are two ways to start up the engine: electric or traditional recoil starting. Electric starting fires up the engine by using the included power cord connected to a standard 120-volt outlet and simply pressing the electric start button located on the engine. The engine will fire up without priming.

Working well after a rough start
Overall satisfied with this snowblower as what it was represented to be at a very good price. Powerful, pretty easy to use, requires a bit of muscle, gets the job done. The “rough start” refers to the fact that it arrived missing an augur pin so only one half of the augur worked on the first use, which was 18 inches of snow, making for pretty tough sledding. Figuring out the problem with the distributor was more difficult than it should have been, but once diagnosed it was easily solved with a minor mechanical installation any homeowner could complete on his or her own. QA/QC took a day off at the factory, I guess. But working great now, and I do recommend this product as a heavy capacity snowblower — properly assembled.
